Pokémon fans, card traders and cosplayers are heading to Optus Stadium today for GhoulFest, a Halloween-themed trading card and collectables fair, and families are weighing up whether to drive or catch the train.

What's on

GhoulFest runs from 11am to 6pm on Saturday 31 October 2026. WeekendNotes lists more than 60 vendors selling Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering and other cards, plus collectables, plushies and art. There are also Dungeons & Dragons and miniature-painting workshops, roaming costumed characters and a live DJ. For kids, there are bouncy castles, a ball pit, face painting and a trick-or-treat candy trail. Tickets were listed at $17.19 each.

Parking and transport

Optus Stadium says its car parks are closed on major event days such as AFL games and concerts, but open on non-major event days. A card fair falls in that second group.

Warm water, long beaches and nothing on the calendar. Swap the Freo Doctor for a Queensland sea breeze.

Locals say the car parks fill quickly, though. One person who drove past on Friday afternoon said you would need to be among the first cars there to get a spot. Others suggested the area near the bus hub, the Camfield, or the small car park on Marlee Loop. If those are full, you could park at Crown, or at Belmont Park and walk across the footbridge.

The easier option may be the train. Perth Stadium Station is right next to the venue, but trains don't stop there on every day without a major event, so check the Transperth journey planner first. Otherwise, it's a walk over the Matagarup Bridge from East Perth.
