Inner Suburbs

Don't overlook the suburbs. Mount Lawley, Leederville, and Victoria Park all have thriving cafe strips with their own distinct character. In Mt Lawley, Broadsheet Perth recently highlighted several new openings worth checking out.

What Makes Perth Coffee Special?

Unlike the east coast's obsession with dark roasts, Perth has embraced lighter, fruitier profiles. Local roasters tend to source directly from farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Papua New Guinea, resulting in cups that are complex and clean.

The next time someone tells you Perth is behind on coffee, hand them a cup from any of these spots and watch them reconsider.
