Phone shots are easy to take but harder to print well. One Perth photographer wanting their own images printed for IKEA Ribba frames asked where to go for good colour accuracy and decent paper, rather than "bargain-bin prints".
Locals came back with a short, consistent list.
Where locals recommend
- Perth Pro Lab, Wembley: the top suggestion, with one local calling it "hands down the best in the business" and another praising the quality.
- Fitzgerald Photo Imaging, North Perth: recommended by several people, including for A3 prints and framing.
- Iroha: one film shooter uses it for developing and scanning and said the sample prints on the shop wall are worth a look.
- White Frame, South Perth: mentioned as good in the past, though the local was not sure it still prints.
- Officeworks: one person said staff at the Cannington store did a good job on posters and flyers.
Tips before you print
For colour-critical work, ask the lab what paper they use, whether they offer test prints and whether you should send files in a particular colour profile. Check the frame's opening size before you order, as photo and frame sizes do not always match.
