The Ngaanyatjarra people are the traditional owners of a vast area of the Western Desert, stretching across the WA, NT and SA borders. Ngaanyatjarra country covers more than 250,000 square kilometres, making it one of the largest contiguous Aboriginal-owned regions in Australia, governed through the Ngaanyatjarra Council.
