The Wongatha people are the traditional owners of the Goldfields region around Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Laverton and Leonora. The Wongatha nation is made up of multiple language groups including the Maduwongga, Kuwarra, Mantjintjarra Ngalia and Tjalkanti peoples.
